How to Wear a Satin Skirt When It Gets Cold

A satin midi skirt feels like a summer thing, all bare legs and strappy tops. The truth is it might be the most useful thing in your autumn wardrobe. That liquid shine looks incredible against cosy knits and boots, and it takes an outfit from ordinary to quietly special. Here is how to wear yours as it gets cold.

Pair it with a chunky knit

This is the contrast that makes it work. A slinky satin skirt with a big cosy cable knit is the whole look, because the soft heavy knit balances the fluid skirt perfectly. Tuck the front of the knit in loosely so you keep the waist. It is easy, warm and looks far more considered than it is.
